Jefferson Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in assessment, examination and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include patient flow management, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections and vitals, with a focus on accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong communication, medical terminology knowledge and familiarity with medical office procedures. HS diploma, MA certification within 6 months, and BLS within 90 days are expected.

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, injections, phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Manage patient flow, document vitals and medical history accurately.
• Maintain inventory and order clinical supplies as needed.
• Communicate with patients, co-workers and physicians to ensure satisfaction.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
