Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Military Medic training or EMT-P certification acceptable as alternative credentials.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a physician-trained Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow and prepares the patient for the visit.
• Assists physician with patient care in accordance with the Ohio Administrative Code.
• Performs Care Connect EMR documentation and maintains EMR in basket.
• Maintains and cleans the clinical environment, equipment, and reports malfunctions.
• Communicates with patients and customers respectfully and collaboratively with the health care team.
• Supports quality improvement, efficiency initiatives, and ongoing staff training.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Graduation from an accredited School of Medical Assisting

Completion of Military Medic training

Certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P)

At least one year of experience as a physician-trained Medical Assistant in a similar clinical setting
