Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant education or training program required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Experience using electronic health records required.
• Experience venipuncture or competency training required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for medical appointments by recording vital signs and histories.
• Update patient information and medical records in the EHR.
• Maintain exam rooms and supplies for patient visits.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine venipuncture, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
