Job summary

Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for the Summerport Office in Windermere. The role supports scheduling, patient intake and coordination with physicians to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include data gathering, assisting with exams, and entering orders in the EMR under provider direction. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with comprehensive benefits beginning day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or at least 1 year MA patient-care experience.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/ etc. certification or registration.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduling and preregistration duties including patient demographic validation and insurance verification.
• Supports physicians and staff by coordinating provider assignments for optimal coverage.
• Gathers patient data, assists during examinations, and documents in the EMR per policy.
• Participates in orientation and quality initiatives within the practice.

Education
