Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant for day shifts. Pay range is $28.86–$39.93 per hour, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Responsibilities include greeting and preparing patients for the practitioner, obtaining vital signs, preparing for routine and specialty procedures, collecting specimens, and documenting patient interactions in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or WA state–recognized training required.
• MA-C or Interim MA-C through WA State DOH required (will obtain MA-C within 6 months).
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare practitioner.
• Obtain vital signs for patients.
• Prepare patients for routine and specialty procedures.
• Collect specimens as needed.
• Document patient interactions in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required.
• Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) or Interim MA-C through WA State DOH required(the latter must obtain regular MA-C within 6-months of hire).
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred.
