Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks an On-call Medical Assistant to support patient flow and safe, timely care at the Everson Medical Clinic, with occasional shifts at the Bellingham Medical Clinic.

Ideal candidates will provide excellent customer service, multi-task efficiently, and maintain a professional demeanor in a busy clinic environment. Must meet WA MA requirements and obtain BLS CPR within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Washington State MA-Certificate or MA-Interim License; pass exam within 90 days of probationary period.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintained during employment.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Punjabi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients.
• Complete all provider referrals for each patient.
• Administer injections and distribute oral medications under physicians' order; perform venipuncture.
• Assist the medical provider with charting and coordination of comprehensive patient care.

We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization On-call Medical Assistant position available for our Everson MedicalClinic. Applicant will also work some shifts at our Bellingham MedicalClinic. The ideal candidates will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic & professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team; ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients

EDUCATION AND/OR REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a Washington State MA-Certificate or possess an MA-Interim License and pass the exam within the 90-day probationaryperiod
