Job summary

Seattle Children's seeks a Medical Assistant to perform individualized patient procedures, treatments and tests, while handling back-office responsibilities. The role combines clinical duties with complex clerical tasks, clinic prep, stocking supplies and phone coverage.

Requires WA DOH Certified MA, BLS and high school diploma; interim WA certs accepted for 12 months. Preferred Pediatrics/Urgent Care experience and CMA certification. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new hires.

Job description

This position includes a sign on bonus for eligible new hires joining Seattle Children's!

Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests. Perform associated clerical tasks including clinic preparation, stocking clinic supplies and answering telephones. Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitoring of clinic flow.

This role will be a combination of clinical responsibilities as well as complex back office administrative tasks.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Required Credentials

Current Medical Assistant – Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH).Current Interim Certification through WA State can be substituted for up to 12 months from issue date.Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).

Preferred

Graduation from an accredited medical assistant programCurrent National Medical Assistant Association Certification (eligible for premium)Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care experience and/or Medical screening and immunization.

Compensation Range

$26.51 - $39.76 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
