Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center, located in western Kentucky, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team. The role is full-time, days, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm CST, with duties spanning clinical and administrative tasks within a patient-centered primary care setting.

Candidates should have a Medical Assisting program completion and CMA/CCMA/RMA certification, plus a current BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assisting program.
• CMA, CCMA or RMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update electronic health records (EHR).
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections.
• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Support front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

Education

What we're looking for
