How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

As a vital member of our team, you'll provide technical clinical services and clerical support for the delivery of quality patient care as directed by licensed staff, a physician, or a mid-level practitioner.

1. Collect patient assessment data, including height, weight, vital signs, chief complaints/symptoms, and current medications for assessment by licensed staff.
2. Prepare patients for provider evaluation by obtaining specimens, positioning for exams, listing medications, and assisting during exams and procedures.
3. Maintain a clean, safe work environment in exam rooms, treatment rooms, x-ray rooms, and labs; restock supplies and instruments; sterilize reusable equipment as needed.
4. Assist with lab procedures by collecting urine specimens, preparing blood samples for reference labs, and labeling all specimens with accurate patient IDs as ordered by the physician.
5. Document patient information in the medical record, including updated treatment procedures, medication refills, test results, and patient concerns.

What We Require:

Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CAAHEP or ABHES) or comparable military training and experience preferred.

Experience: One year of experience in a physician's office preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized national professional association (e.g., American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, National Healthcareer Association). Provisional hiring possible once exam is scheduled and a provisional passing score is received. AHA BLS-HCP Certification required.

Other: Effective communication skills for working with the public, computer skills for database systems and electronic medical records, problem-solving ability, and keyboarding skills.
