As a vital member of our team, you'll provide technical clinical services and clerical support for the delivery of quality patient care as directed by licensed staff, a physician, or a mid-level practitioner.
Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CAAHEP or ABHES) or comparable military training and experience preferred.
Experience: One year of experience in a physician's office preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized national professional association (e.g., American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, National Healthcareer Association). Provisional hiring possible once exam is scheduled and a provisional passing score is received. AHA BLS-HCP Certification required.
Other: Effective communication skills for working with the public, computer skills for database systems and electronic medical records, problem-solving ability, and keyboarding skills.
