Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

• Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.
• Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.
• Greet and prepare patients, collect vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and assist with examinations and patient mobility.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, basic laboratory procedures, administer approved medications, communicate lab results, and support diagnostic testing.
• Document patient encounters, update electronic medical records, review records for accuracy, and ensure compliance with legal and confidentiality requirements.
• Schedule appointments, diagnostic services, referrals, and coordinate patient flow and follow-up care across departments and providers.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain exam rooms, manage supplies and equipment, and ensure a safe, organized clinical environment
• Provide patient education, handle telephone communications, verify insurance, process registrations, collect payments, and resolve routine issues while escalating concerns as needed.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies, or
• High School GED General Studies and
• Certificate Other completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
• Medical Assistant Certification: WA, upon hire
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (through AHA), upon hire

Preferred

• 1-3 years One year of work experience as a Medical Assistant
