Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ, is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for full-time day shifts. You will support clinical and administrative tasks in a busy outpatient setting, assisting with patient assessments, basic procedures, specimen collection, and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/RMA/CCMA certification and demonstrates strong patient-focused care, teamwork, and reliable clinical skills.

How you'll contribute

A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.


• Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.


• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.


• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.


• Documents patient care given.

• Maintain examination areas.


• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

What we're looking for

• Medical Assistant License Required: CMA, RMA, or CCMA must be obtained within 60 days of hire


• BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire


• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions
