Medical Assistant (Casual - Premium Rate)

This position is with the POST - Physician Office Support Team. It offers casual status with varying office locations based on daily/weekly needs. The rate is determined by Medical Assistant Certification status ($19.57 non-certified; $21.63 certified).

Responsibilities include collecting vital signs and patient history, collecting specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, administering injections and medications as directed by physicians, and other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals, and scheduling appointments.

Requirements
  • Completion or graduation from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Mature, professional behavior.
  • Computer skills.
  • Employment status must be casual; no other status is acceptable.
  • Ability to travel between job sites within 30 minutes of your home address.

Additional requirements include CPR Certification, proficiency in venipuncture, and successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of employment as outlined in HR policy HR-106.

Preferred qualifications include Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA), at least one year of medical assisting experience, and computer proficiency.
