Position: Medical Assistant - Carthage FW PRN

Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine clinical and administrative duties to support the assigned area or office.
  2. Assist with patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
  3. Conduct basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens.
  4. Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition and document care provided.
  5. Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  6. Keep examination areas clean and organized.
  7. Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  8. Undertake other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required). Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (Preferred).
  • Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, stress management, computer skills.
  • Certifications: BLS certification from AHA or ARC required within 90 days of hire if not current.
  • Licensure: Must be registered or certified as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA. If not certified at start, must obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years medical office experience preferred.
Additional Details

Position reports to: Office Manager I or II, depending on clinic structure.
