Job summary

Nevada Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Henderson Family Health Center in Henderson, NV. This full-time clinical role involves preparing patients and rooms, taking histories, and supporting exams in a patient-centered setting serving vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, administering injections, lab procedures, and ensuring OSHA-compliant operations; experience with NVHC EMR systems is a plus. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• National CCMA certification; if not held, must obtain within 180 days of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for examination and treatment.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Administer injections and apply dressings as instructed.
• Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Observe infection control policies.
• Assist providers in preparing for minor surgeries and exams.
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Maintain patient documentation and records.
