Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinic operations and patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will assist with intake, tests, medication administration, and close care gaps, while maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation.

The role requires CMA certification or equivalent clinical experience, High School Grad, and ability to work well under pressure. Day shifts, full-time with travel as needed for staffing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management.
• Knowledge of internal and external resources.
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems.
• Ability to work in stressful, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism.
• Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Experience with computers is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, tests, medications, and care gaps closures.
• Ensure office flow and prepare patients/equipment for treatment.
• Document results in the practice’s system and maintain confidentiality.
• Support staff and patients; help co-workers as needed.
• Perform clinical intake, screenings, vital signs, and history taking.
• Assist with minor procedures and accurate documentation.
• Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet.
• Monitor inventory and ensure functioning equipment.
