Unitek College of Nursing is seeking a Medical Assistant Career & Externship Coordinator with 3+ years MA experience for a full-time, campus-based hybrid role. You will coordinate externship placements, coach students, and build employer partnerships to transition students from classroom to externship and into employment.

The position emphasizes student support, employer outreach, and developing new externship sites with local healthcare partners, travel locally, and driving accreditation-ready

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Pay Range

The hourly pay range for this position is $30 (minimum), $32 (midpoint), and $34 (maximum).*

*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.

• At least three years of hands-on Medical Assisting experience. This experience is required to meet accreditation qualifications for the position.


• Completion of a Medical Assisting program.


• Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and follow-through skills.


• Confidence reaching out to healthcare employers and developing new partnerships.


• Ability to manage multiple students, deadlines, employer relationships, and detailed documentation.


• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business technology

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in externship coordination, student support, career services, healthcare recruiting, employer relations, community outreach, or business development.


• Experience coaching, mentoring, or training others.


• Familiarity with student information, CRM, or case-management systems.
