Unitek College of Nursing is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support students transitioning from classroom to externship and into employment. • Completion of a Medical Assisting program.
• Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and follow-through skills.
• Confidence reaching out to healthcare employers and developing new partnerships.
• Ability to manage multiple students, deadlines, employer relationships, and detailed documentation.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business technology

Take your Medical Assisting experience beyond the exam room. Unitek College of Nursing is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who wants to make a broader impact in healthcare. In this hybrid Career Services and Externship Coordinator role, you will help Medical Assisting students transition from the classroom to externship and ultimately into meaningful employment. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Pay Range

The hourly pay range for this position is $24 (minimum), $26 (midpoint), and $28 (maximum).*

*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on Medical Assisting experience. This experience is required to meet accreditation qualifications for the position.
• Completion of a Medical Assisting program.
• Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and follow-through skills.
• Confidence reaching out to healthcare employers and developing new partnerships.
• Ability to manage multiple students, deadlines, employer relationships, and detailed documentation.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in externship coordination, student support, career services, healthcare recruiting, employer relations, community outreach, or business development.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or training others.
• Familiarity with student information, CRM, or case-management systems.
