Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Medical Assistant in New Jersey to support physicians, PAs and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and scheduling for hospital and ambulatory admissions.

The role requires ability to use EHR and PMS, document medications and allergies, and coordinate tests and procedures to ensure smooth patient admissions. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Heart Saver Certification is required.
• 2–4 years experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician, PA or NP with clerical duties, patient flow/care, procedures, scheduling hospital and ambulatory admissions.
• Schedules and enters diagnostic tests and procedures into orders management system, following all appropriate workflows.
• Coordinate required testing prior to admission and ensure all information and consents are on site for patient’s admission/procedure.
• Arrange types and distribute surgery schedule.
• Accurately complete any/all necessary forms for the patient.
