vTech Solution is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide essential clinical and administrative support in an adult outpatient cardiology clinic. You will take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, verify insurance, and assist with triage to maintain smooth patient flow.

The role requires at least one year of MA experience in an adult outpatient setting with cardiology experience, EPIC proficiency, and willingness to float to the Ballard clinic every Tuesday.

Formación

• Certified Medical Assistant license (MA-C preferred, MA-R acceptable).
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one year MA experience in an adult outpatient clinic.
• Cardiology experience required.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to perform vital signs and EKG/ECG acquisition.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, EKG/ECG, and pulse oximetry.
• Prepare patients for exams by recording history, medications, and allergies.
• Handle office duties: authorization forms, chart prep, insurance verification, pharmacy calls, patient refill requests, scheduling, stocking supplies.
• Conduct telephone triage and assist with patient communication.
• Review lab results and assist with rooming patients.
• Float to the Ballard clinic every Tuesday to support operations.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides essential clinical and administrative support in an adult outpatient cardiology clinic. This role involves performing vital signs, preparing patients for exams, managing office duties such as scheduling and insurance verification, and assisting with telephone triage. The MA collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care. The position requires at least one year of MA experience in an adult outpatient setting with cardiology experience, and mandates floating to a secondary clinic location weekly.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, and pulse oximetry.
• Prepare patients for exams by recording history, medications, and allergies.
• Perform office duties such as authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, pharmacy calls, patient refill requests, appointment scheduling, and stocking supplies.
• Conduct telephone triage and assist with patient communication.
• Review lab tests and assist with rooming patients.
• Float to the Ballard clinic every Tuesday to support clinic operations.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant license (MA-C preferred, MA-R acceptable; MA-P and MA-HT not considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting.
• Cardiology experience required.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to perform vital signs and EKG/ECG acquisition.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Experience using Microsoft Excel.

Special Considerations

• Must float to the Ballard clinic location every Tuesday.
• Position is open to local and non-local candidates with possible contract extension and potential for permanent hire.
• Work is performed in-person at the clinic.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.

Scheduling

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Weekends off.
