Job description

As a Medical Assistant, you are a part of a collaborative team scribing for and supporting our dermatology providers. You ensure that all patients receive high-quality, efficient, and comprehensive care. You demonstrate consistent adherence to the practice’s standards and procedures. You assist providers during medical and cosmetic procedures. You are an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients.

This is an on-site position at our Bucktown dermatology practice. Must be able to work Saturdays, early mornings, and late evenings. Compensation range is $18-$20 an hour depending on experience.

Preferred qualifications include EMR experience (Nextech or ModMed/Ema), CPR/BLS & Bloodborne Pathogen certification, and previous scribing and clinical experience.

You have a passion for working in the healthcare environment. You are a team player, proactive, able to multi-task, organized, a go-getter, fast learner, empathetic, take initiative, detail-oriented, positive, personable, and professional in all your interactions. Along with basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills, you have an appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations; ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations; and are able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors.

Our Bucktown Practice - Dermatology + Aesthetics - is a modern and fast-paced practice known for its extensive skincare treatments, high standards of service, excellent patient care, and diverse team of exceptional individuals. It is located in the newly retrofitted Elston Corridor in the Bucktown neighborhood, at 1765 N. Elston Avenue. We are close to public transportation (Blue and Brown Lines) and near the busy Lincoln Park and Wicker Park neighborhoods.
