Job summary

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our high-risk breast program and support providers in evaluation, management and delivery of care.

This position features a Day shift, 8am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with floating between SLN and SLH as needed. The MA will ensure smooth patient flow, perform phlebotomy, use the EMR system, and assist with pre-visit planning to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to float between facilities as needed.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and vitals collection.
• Familiar with electronic medical records systems.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in evaluation, management and delivery of care.

Job Description The Opportunity: Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Medial Assistant (MA) for our high-risk breast program to be an integral part of our team that delivers high-quality patient-centered medical care to our community.

This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management, and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice. This position floats between SLN and SLH but could float to other entities if applicable.

Shift Details - Day Shift - 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday - Float between SLN and SLH.

The Work:

• Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals
• Phlebotomy
• Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents
• Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)
• Obtain prior authorizations
