Job summary

MediQuest is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant in Los Angeles, CA, to join a busy community clinic. You will support providers, take vitals, prepare patients, and ensure visits run smoothly in English and Spanish.

We require 6+ months MA or clinical experience, fluent bilingual skills, CPR/BLS, and immunization/blood-draw knowledge. MA program graduation preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with afternoon/evening shifts after training.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Solid working knowledge of immunizations, injections, and blood draws.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and prepare patients for exams
• Assist with immunizations, injections, and blood draws as directed by the provider
• Collect and process lab specimens with proper handling
• Document patient history and symptoms accurately in the medical record
• Maintain patient charts and update records as needed
• Coordinate referrals, appointments, and follow-up care
• Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and medications
• Communicate with patients, families, and staff in English and Spanish
• Follow safety and infection control standards and keep the clinical area clean and organized

• After training: Mon–Thu, 11:30am–8:30pm; Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm

About the Role
