Medical Assistant/Technician Medical Surgical - Queens Medical Group /Downtown Flushing - Urology Practice - Bilingual Korean

In this role, you will:

  • Observe patient’s condition, report abnormal conditions to staff nurse, and record appropriate documentation in patient’s records.
  • Measure and record patient height and weight, perform routine vision and hearing examinations, and take pulse and blood pressure readings.
  • Draw blood from patients and/or perform finger sticks and obtain other specimens as requested by physician or registered nurse.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures using aseptic principles in creating and maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
  • Maintain stock items for examination and blood drawing rooms, forms used by clinical staff, etc.

This is a full-time day shift position, Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm), located in downtown Flushing. May be required to travel to other Queens Medical Group locations as needed.

Required Criteria:
  • High School diploma or GED
Preferred Criteria:
  • Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an Internal Medicine practice.
  • Bilingual - Korean
