Job description

MaxHealth in Dundee is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. Starting Salary: $20.00 an hour. Candidates must be bilingual in English/Spanish to be considered for this role.

Normal hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

As a Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver focused and empathetic patient care at all times. As a true people person, you thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You prepare them to see the physician by preparing examination and procedure rooms, obtaining their histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. As needed, you perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures, managing documents like pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. While maintaining a calming presence for our patients, you also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
  • 1+ years of experience as an MA
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
  • Proficiency in computer skills
