Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Medical Assistant to join Baptist Primary Care - Internal Medicine at Baptist South Internal Medicine. This full-time role supports a busy clinic from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will room patients, take vital signs, maintain accurate documentation, and assist providers with tests and referrals. Requirements include 2+ years of patient care, BLS, and CMA credential preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of patient care experience required.
• Experience working in a physician’s office preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assistance to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Rooms patients and obtains vital signs.
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits.
• Maintains accurate and complete medical documentation.
• Schedules patient care, treatments, and diagnostic tests as directed by the physician.
• Processes prescription requests and referrals.
• Supports daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality patient care.

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Baptist Primary Care - Internal Medicine office at Baptist South Internal Medicine, located in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00A-5:00P.

The ideal candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and assisting the provider in this busy office.
