Job description

Washington Regional Urgent Care is seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in Harrison, AR.

About Washington Regional Urgent Care

With six locations in Northwest Arkansas, Washington Regional Urgent Care is an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers provide quality, affordable healthcare for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness services. We are open seven days a week with hours varying by day. All centers are Accredited Care Centers, recognized for safety, quality, and scope of services.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides basic clinical care aligned with their medical education. Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN team members work as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients promptly in waiting areas, exam rooms, and labs or x-ray rooms.
  • Communicate wait times and treatment steps effectively.
  • Address patient concerns and recognize emergent situations.
  • Perform follow-up calls with urgency.
  • Assist front desk with check-in/out procedures as needed.
  • Accurately document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and pertinent information.
  • Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by providers.
  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required visit documentation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
