Job summary

EPIC Health in Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant who speaks Assyrian and Arabic to join our on-site team. You will escort patients, record vital signs in the EHR, document medical history, administer injections and vaccines, and educate patients on procedures.

The role emphasizes accurate data collection, phlebotomy exposure, and collaboration within a fast-paced care team to drive quality outcomes in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant or coursework in the field is required or encouraged.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates care for community health and ability to work in fast-paced, team-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome Patients with Care: Escort patients to exam rooms and set a welcoming tone.
• Capture Crucial Information: Accurately measure and record vital signs in the EHR.
• Document Patient History: Log symptoms and medical history with precision.
• Administer Procedures: Perform injections, vaccinations, and other treatments with care.
• Educate Patients: Explain procedures clearly to help patients feel informed.
• Assist in Diagnostics: Collect blood and urine samples for evaluations.
• Coordinate Follow-Up Care: Schedule future appointments.
• Support Team Excellence: Participate in process improvement initiatives.
