Job Description:

Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant at Colorado Physician Partners!

Colorado Physician Partners is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to become a vital part of our team! In this role, you'll collaborate with our Clinical services staff to deliver outstanding patient services, all while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude. Your efforts will help create a welcoming environment that fosters patient comfort and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare for Patient Visits: Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date.
  2. Maintain Exam Rooms: Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards.
  3. Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen.
  4. Initial Medical Screening: Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately.
  5. Assist During Exams: Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
  6. Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

  1. Communication Skills: Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately. High degree of diplomacy and tact.
  2. Technical Skills: Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
  3. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
  4. Multi-tasking: Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  5. Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with diverse populations.
  6. Professionalism: Knowledge of “Universal Precautions” and adherence to HIPAA standards.
  7. Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus.
  8. Driver’s License: Valid State Driver’s License preferred.
  9. Specialty Experience: GI, IV Placement or Colonoscopy Assisting, preferred.

Education:

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant.
  3. Current, valid CPR certification.
