Job summary

Trinity Health MI in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant Apprentice who will perform MA duties while studying toward certification. Under supervision, you will gain hands-on experience in a clinic or physician office, delivering patient-centered care.

You will learn room setup, vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, immunizations, and basic admin tasks such as check-in/out and scheduling referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible for enrollment in a certified Medical Assistant program at Grand Rapids Community College or Muskegon Community College.
• Basic business, clinical, and computer skills required.
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medical Assistant duties while studying toward certification under supervision.
• Deliver patient care under the guidance of a licensed professional in a clinic or physician office.
• Assist with patient visits: room setup, vitals, specimen collection, blood draws, meds and immunizations.
• Assist with admin tasks: check-in/out, scheduling referrals, obtaining signatures, directing calls.
