Our 20 hospitals and over 240 physician practices provide numerous opportunities for career growth.

Our apprenticeship program exemplifies our mission, offering a 6-month hands-on training starting August 18th. It prepares participants for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through online courses and on-site labs at local Community Colleges. During the program, you will work as an Uncertified Medical Assistant, with wages paid by CommonSpirit, and transition seamlessly into a certified role upon passing the exam.

Responsibilities and Schedule

  • Work 12-32 hours weekly as an MAI, 2-4 days in a week, including 1 day of classes, totaling approximately 10 hours.
  • Location: Primary and Specialty Care units reporting to Holy Cross Hospitals in Utah, specific locations discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

  • Customer service and leadership skills demonstrated through high school activities or employment.
  • Basic office and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Email.
  • Attention to detail; HS Diploma or GED required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to enroll in approved community colleges.
