Job summary

University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant for the UKHC KY Clinic South location. The MA will provide direct patient care and clinical support to providers in an ambulatory setting.

Position is full-time, 40 hrs/week, with shift 7:30am–4:00pm. Requires HS diploma and relevant clinical experience. BLS certification required at hire.

Qualifications

• One of the following licenses/registrations: SRNA, CNA, RN student with first course completed, EMT/med, MA program grad, LPN program grad, CST III.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Physical Requirements The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for direct patient care and provides clinical support to providers.
