Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Clinic. Work hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Thursday, and 8:00 am–12:00 pm on Friday.

The role involves collecting health data, assisting clinicians, and supporting patient care across the lifespan in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Qualifications include graduation from a recognized MA program, national certification/registration as MA, and BLS certification within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients and relay to the provider.
• Assist in patient care across the lifespan including preventive care and follow-up.
• Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for examinations; perform point-of-care testing.
• Communicate care instructions to patients/caregivers per provider's directions.
