OptumCare Colorado Springs is hiring Medical Assistant to support clinicians in ambulatory care. The MA will perform patient-oriented procedures under supervision, assist with minor procedures, and handle clerical tasks related to patient care.

The role is located at 6340 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO, and requires a high school diploma, MA program completion, and BLS certification. Travel to multiple CO clinic locations may be required.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Demonstrate superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Protect patient PHI according to HIPAA standards.
• Anticipate clinician’s needs and carry out orders.
• Escort patients and accompany them to exam rooms and services.
• Record vital signs and report to RN, LVN, or clinician.
• Assist with procedures and administer meds as allowed by certification.
• Perform phlebotomy and process lab specimens.
• Document procedures properly.
• Maintain exam and treatment areas and equipment.
• Complete forms, tracking, transport, etc.

Conoscenze

Bilingual English and Spanish

Willing to travel to OptumCare CO
