Job summary

Advocate Health Care’s AMG Chicago Family Medicine team is hiring a Medical Assistant. The role supports providers, contacts patients, and helps ensure a safe, compassionate patient experience in a busy ambulatory setting.

You will take vital signs, collect histories, prepare patients for exams, and assist with procedures. Experience with MA duties and strong teamwork are essential; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. This full-time position is based in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of MA experience or be a certified MA with 2 years MA experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and maintain appointments (Mon–Fri 8:00–4:30, rotating Saturdays).
• Support providers, patients, and care team to ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed and perform basic lab tasks.
