Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Less than 1 year experience in an ambulatory care setting required; externship strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient preparation for examinations and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and basic clinical tasks.
• Document clinically related activities in the EMR and maintain patient records.
• Support patient flow and provide clerical support as needed.
• Floats to other sites within the system to cover staffing needs.
