The Spine Team Texas Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and medical staff in the clinic, ensuring appropriate and timely patient flow, and scheduling procedures to maintain smooth clinic operations. The role requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas and compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
If the Medical Assistant also holds an NCT certification, they will be responsible for taking x-rays within their scope of practice as needed.

This role involves providing timely support to medical staff and patients, maintaining clinic rooms and supplies, delivering excellent customer service, and assisting with patient care (vital signs, medication explanations, escorting patients). Accurate and timely communication with authorized individuals is essential. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Compliance or Medical Staff.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, assist in lifting patients, work under pressure, and potentially be exposed to blood or infectious materials. The work environment is a well-lit, air-conditioned clinical setting.
