Job summary

La Clinica is expanding its team in Medford, OR, and seeks a certified Medical Assistant (Advanced) to join Birch Grove Health Center. This full-time, hourly role involves supporting both administrative and clinical tasks in a patient-centered care setting.

Ideal candidates have CCMA and BLS certifications, strong typing and computer skills, and a high school diploma. EPIC experience is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Proficiency in basic computer software applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating competency in administrative and clinical duties.
• Updating patient medical records accurately using electronic health records.
• Scheduling and following up on medical appointments for patients.
• Providing telephone support and routing calls appropriately.
• Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assisting providers during exams and procedures.
• Administering treatments such as vaccines, EKGs, and laboratory testing as ordered.
• Providing patient education as instructed by providers.
• Maintaining patient and employee information confidentially following HIPAA policies.
