Job summary

Mercy in Joplin, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and office staff with patient care activities and to uphold Mercy's standards of compassionate care. The role involves direct patient interaction, teamwork, and adherence to established clinical practices.

You will communicate with patients and families, assist with routine tasks, and complete MA Clinic Academy training to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• One year of patient care experience or equivalent medical office experience is preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and office staff with patient care activities in accordance with established nursing practice standards.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors and co-workers in a caring, professional manner.
• Perform related duties and participate in training as required.

Position Details
