Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is seeking a Medical Assistant to support abortion care and other clinical services. You will perform vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with procedures in a patient-centered, regulated environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and either Medical Assistant certification or plans to obtain one within 15 months. Spanish bilingual skills are strongly preferred and BLS certification must be obtained within six

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred or must obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must complete PPRM Ultrasound training within nine months of hire.
• Must obtain and maintain BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the provider in a culturally competent, patient-centered manner in compliance with regulations.
• Perform vital signs and collect patient information.
• Collect specimens such as blood and urine for tests.
• Perform basic point-of-care lab tests and age-appropriate testing.
• Document information and results in the medical record.
• Perform venipuncture and injections with training.
• Assist with procedures such as abortion and IUD placement.
• Escort patients and assist with exam rooms and equipment.
• Support with supply ordering and clinic operations.
