Salary Range: $21.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Scribe notes in the patient’s medical record while the physician/patient is in the room.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results and schedule follow‑up appointments.
• Daily clean and organize exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned to the back office.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.

Experience & Skills

• 2‑3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior dermatology experience and bilingual in Spanish required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent phone etiquette.
• Teamwork and professional appearance and mannerisms.
• Demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with patients and co‑workers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and seek information when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Equipment Operated

Physical Requirements

Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines, stoop and bend to handle files and supplies, and possess mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
