US Heart & Vascular is seeking a Medical Assistant to join Cardiovascular Care of North Georgia in Lawrenceville, GA. You will interview patients, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist physicians during visits. Experience with EKGs and a cardiology background are preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

The role features a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with CME allowance to support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Previous experience in Cardiology preferred.
• Experience with EKGs is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in charts.
• Guides patients to examination rooms and prepares them for the physician.
• Records medical history and test results in medical records.
• Assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Authorizes drug refills and communicates prescription information to pharmacies.
• Prepares treatment rooms and keeps them clean and orderly.
• Operates EKG and other equipment for routine diagnostic tests.

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Cardiovascular Care of North Georgia in Lawrenceville GA.

Responsibilities:

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Help physicians examine and treat patients
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
• Operate electrocardiogram (EKG), or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Previous experience in Cardiology Preferred
• Experience with EKGs is required
