Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join Cardiology Center of Houston in Katy, TX. You will greet patients, record histories, perform EKGs, Holter monitor setup, and assist with stress test preparation in a day-shift environment.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of clinical experience, cardiac experience, and enjoy educating patients about procedures while maintaining clean exam rooms and accurate documentation in the eCW system.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• Experience performing EKGs, Holter monitor setup and stress test preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for cardiac evaluations and office visits.
• Record and verify patient medical history and vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, Holter monitor setup, and stress test preparation.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms, cleanliness, and stock supplies.
• Document all clinical information in the eCW system.
• Process cardiac clearances and prior authorizations.
• Manage calls, including prescription refills and patient questions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for cardiac evaluations and office visits.
• Record and verify patient medical history and vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, weight, height, etc.).
• Performs electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitor setup, and stress test preparation (as trained).
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Maintain exam rooms, ensure cleanliness, and stock supplies.
• Ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Accurately document all clinical information in eCW system.
• Process cardiac clearances and prior authorizations.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls, including prescription refill requests and patient questions.
