Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform duties under the direction of a physician, assisting in examination and treatment of patients in Merced, CA. This contract role requires 40 hours per week at $25 per hour.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, medical terminology knowledge, and CPR eligibility. Experience and certification preferences are noted in the description.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Good telephone communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of medical procedures.
• Knowledge of clerical functions.
• Current CPR card (if applicable).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable).
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
• Relevant certification/ license if applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
