A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Medical Assistant II responsible for patient preparation and clinical duties. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience, necessary certifications, and a passion for patient care. The Medical Assistant II is responsible for preparing the patient for the physician encounter and includes preparing the room, rooming the patient, taking vital signs, drawing blood and collecting specimens, and performing screening tests such as EKGs . The MA II will obtain authorizations, answer patient questions and document all work in the electronic medical record system. All clinical responsibilities will be at the direction of the provider. The MA II will also perform administrative duties as directed by the office manager. In addition, the MA II will perform radiological procedures as ordered by the physician and comply with all standards of patient care, documentation and safety in performance of the procedures.
Required Experience:
1 year experience required.
Certification/Licensure:
Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
A.R.R.T Certification required.
BLS certification required.
Education requirements:
HS Diploma or GED required .
Certificate /Diploma from accredited program required .
Computer/Equipment skills:
Microsoft Office required.
eClinicalWorks preferred.
Healthcare electronic medical records system preferred .

Salary: $22.60
