Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking talented LPN/MA professionals for a full-time role in a Wisconsin clinic. You will support exam processes, run basic lab procedures, assist with physician procedures, and administer routine medications under approved orders. The position offers a competitive pay range and a benefits package.

Work hours include a 36-hour week with clinic hours Monday through Friday; some weekend/holiday coverage may apply. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• Medical Assistant: GED or HS Equivalency Diploma AND Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full‑time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering/updating pertinent health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines.
• Assists the Physician/APC with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
• Administers routine medications under orders, including immunizations and antibiotics.
• Refers questions to Registered Nurses and Physician/APC per scope of practice and relays information to patient.
• Communicates with Physician/APC to ensure smooth clinic flow and accurate information to patients.
