Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to join our growing podiatry practice. You will support physicians with hands-on patient care and provide front-desk support, including scheduling and patient communication.

This hybrid role combines clinical duties with administrative responsibilities, offering cross-training across multiple office areas and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant program completion or 2+ years clinical experience.
  • CMA or RMA certification required.
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology; basic insurance processes.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment; travel between local offices as needed.
  • Technologically proficient; MS 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams.
  • Assist providers with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries.
  • Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens.
  • Sterilize instruments, stock rooms, and maintain supply readiness.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage calendars, and handle check-in/out.
  • Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations; collect copays and balances.
  • Maintain patient records via scanning, faxing, and data entry.
  • Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and end-of-day documentation.

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant 2 to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!

As a Medical Assistant 2, you'll support physicians with hands‑on patient care and provides front desk support such as scheduling, check‑in, and patient communication. You’ll use both your clinical skills and your administrative strengths. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be cross‑trained in multiple areas of the office.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
  • Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams
  • Assist providers with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in‑office surgeries
  • Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X‑rays; prepare and submit lab specimens

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage provider calendars, and handle patient check‑in/out

Required Skills And Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant program completion or 2+ years of clinical experience

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and assist wherever needed
  • Ability to travel between local office locations, as required
