MEDICAL ASSISTANT 1ST SHIFT
REPORTS TO:APRN/Medical Team FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE:Monday – Friday, 7a-4p
POSITION SUMMARY:
Revive Ministries Inc. programs do not include a medical facility but recognizes that individuals who are recovering from addictions will also have physical needs. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with the medical needs of persons served while under the direction of the APRN and/or RN on staff. The Medical Assistant is also responsible for assisting with coordination of healthcare for persons served in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations as well as nursing standards of care.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach overhead and lift up to 10 pounds; travel outside of the office and/or attend meetings both during and after normal work hours, both at or away from the work site. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionallyora negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Requires about 6 hours of sitting and no more than 2 hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. No significant stooping is required.
Environmental Conditions:
The employee will work indoors in a residential setting with central heating and air conditioning. The house itself is open and ventilated well with central heating and air conditioning. The person may work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid,and dry/arid conditions during times of community activities for clients.
Mental Demands:
There areseveraldaily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress for some individuals. The position must deal with the clients,staff,and insurance representatives daily on a variety of issues.
