East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the medical process, including scheduling, OHM encounter logging, and initiating pre-employment screening.

This full-time, second-shift position runs Monday–Thursday 1:30p–9:30p and Friday 3:30p–11:30p, offering hands-on clinical duties, supply management, front-desk triage, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent required.
• Reading skills required.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Computer skills: MS Office (Word/Excel) and OHM/Quest/MSR systems.
• Good communication and telecommunication skills; ability to communicate with co-workers.
• EMR training to be completed within first 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physician appointment schedule and OHM encounter log.
• Performs medical procedures (spirometry, neurometry, blood pressure, pulse, hearing tests, urine drug screen, phlebotomy, breath alcohol testing, height, weight).
• Keeps supplies and stock rooms updated in Somax; sterilizes equipment.
• Maintains medical filing system and new hire files.
• Greets employees at front desk and triages needs; maintains regular attendance and willingness for overtime.

Overview

East Penn is current seeking a Medical Assistant who will assist in the medical process with duties including: maintaining physician appointment schedule, maintaining OHM encounter log, and initiating the pre‑employment screening process.

This position is a full-time, 2nd shift position. Hours are:

Monday- Thursday: 1:30p-9:30p

Friday: 3:30p-11:30p

Responsibilities

Performs medical procedures as needed, including spirometry, neurometry, blood pressure, pulse, hearing tests, urine drugscreen, phlebotomy, breath alcohol testing, height, weight, uniform measurements, and basic eye exams.

Maintains and orders supplies and stock rooms using Somax.

Sterilizes medical equipment.

Maintains medical filing system including establishing new hire files.

Greets employees at front desk, determines employees' needs, and does triage accordingly.

*Maintains regular attendance.

*Ability to work mandatory over time.

Performs other duties as requested.

Responsible for producing a high quality product.

Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent; READING REQUIREMENTS, Basic Reading; MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, Basic Math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying); COMPUTER SKILLS, H&S, OHM, Quest, Management System Reporting (MSR), Word, Excel; COMMUNICATION SKILLS, Good Communication Skills, Good Telephone Skills, Ability to communicate with Co‑workers; OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS, Phlebotomy. EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) training is to be completed within the first 6 months of hire.
