Job Description

Fairfax Hospital (ISCI Clinic - Fairfax West) is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time, day shift from Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties: check schedules, record vital signs, assist with exams and procedures, and relay instructions.
• Prepare patients for visits, assist with specimen collection, phlebotomy, injections, and helping physicians/nurses.
• Manage clerical tasks: handle medical records, lab reports, forms, and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, set up instruments, and ensure equipment functions properly.
• Communicate patient and staff issues promptly, participate in clinic huddles, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Additional Requirements

• Work schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, approximately 8 am to 5 pm.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year of clinical practice preferred.
