Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Diabetes Clinic in downtown Minneapolis (5 days per week, 8 hour shifts). This benefit-eligible role is union represented and primarily works day shift. Opportunities for tuition reimbursement and advancement.
***This opening is currently set to work Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.
A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external MA candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).
The sign-on bonus amount is $1,500 for uncertified Medical Assistants and $3,000 for Medical Assistants certified/registered through the AAMA, AMT, or NHCA.
SUMMARY
Under the direction, delegation and supervision of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), Manager/ Clinic Nurse Supervisor, charge nurse and/or their delegates, the Medical Assistant performs a wide variety of medical and clinic support functions.The Medical Assistant assists with indirect and direct patient care and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature as determined by established Policies, Procedures and Clinical Protocols.
